Last Minute Removalists Alice Springs - Same Day Movers From $120/hr
Most last-minute moves are not planned, they are forced. A rental gets approved and the agent wants you in by the weekend, a settlement date is brought forward, a share-house falls apart, or a landlord decides to sell. When that happens in Alice Springs, our last minute movers in Alice Springs get you shifted without the days of notice most removalists ask for, and without the panic that usually comes with it.
Short notice moves in Alice Springs need more warning than a capital city, and we would rather say so than take a booking we cannot honour. The Centre is 1,500 kilometres from both Darwin and Adelaide, so availability depends on what is already scheduled rather than on a truck finishing across town. Call as early as you can with your dates and a rough item list, and we will tell you straight what is possible. In summer we will also push for an early start, because a 40 degree afternoon is not a safe time to load. We also cover Gillen, Braitling, Sadadeen, East Side, Araluen and Desert Springs.
Short-notice moves are common in the Top End. Defence postings, mining and FIFO rosters, and hospital and university contracts all come with dates that can shift at the last minute, and a fair few of our same day move bookings in Alice Springs start with one of those. Whether it is a single-item pickup, a studio unit or a full house at short notice, our last minute removalists in Alice Springs handle urgent and short notice removals and get you sorted without the stress.
Rushing does not have to cost more. We quote a last-minute job at the same hourly rate as a planned one and tell you what we can do as soon as you call, rather than leaving you waiting. For a short-notice move in Alice Springs, call 0468 001 438 or email info@movingchamps.com.au for a free quote.
How Much Does A Last Minute Move Cost In Alice Springs?
We do not charge a rush fee. A last minute or same-day move costs the same as a planned one, at our normal hourly rates, from $120 per hour for a man with a van or $130 per hour for a small truck, depending on your load. Bigger jobs needing a large truck and extra movers can run up to around $199 per hour. The final price depends on:
- The Size of Your Move and the van or truck it needs.
- The Number of Movers one or two, or more for a bigger load.
- Access and Distance stairs, parking, and how far you are moving.
Moving just a few things? Our small removals and man with a van are quick, low-cost options. Call 0468 001 438 for a free quote.
Moving your things at short notice is at your own risk. Moving Champs does not provide goods-in-transit insurance. If you would like extra cover for your belongings, we recommend you arrange your own transit insurance through a third-party provider before moving day.

How To Book A Last Minute Move In Alice Springs?
Moving Champs is a licensed and registered moving company (ABN 98 683 754 001), and we keep trucks and crews on standby for short-notice moves in Alice Springs. There is no strict minimum notice: same-day and next-day moves are often possible, sometimes with as little as 2 to 3 hours' notice when a truck is free, and calling before midday gives you the best chance of a same-day spot. Small studio and one-bedroom moves are the easiest to fit in at short notice. Here is how a last minute booking works:
1. Call Us
Ring 0468 001 438 and tell us what you are moving and when, and we will check what we can do.
2. We Check Availability
We look for a truck and crew free for your time slot, including after-hours and weekends, and tell you straight away what is possible.
3. Confirm The Details
We give you a quote at our normal hourly rates with no rush fee, then lock in the time.
4. We Arrive And Move
Our emergency movers turn up on time, load quickly, and get you to your new place. The earlier you call, the better your chance of a same-day spot.
Note: Moving Champs does not provide transit insurance. We recommend arranging your own insurance coverage for added peace of mind during your move.
