Professional Furniture Removalists In Upper Ferntree Gully

How Much Do Furniture Removalists Cost In Upper Ferntree Gully?

Furniture removals Upper Ferntree Gully are charged by the hour, and we match the truck size to your move, a small truck for a few pieces and a bigger one for a full house, so you only pay for the space you need. That keeps us one of the cheaper furniture removalists Upper Ferntree Gully has without cutting corners on care. Every rate below includes two movers, the truck, fuel, and moving equipment, and all our trucks have a hydraulic tail lift. As a guide:

These are starting hourly rates. Whether you are shifting a single sofa or a whole home of furniture, the final cost depends on how long the job takes, plus:

• Number and Size of Items: A single sofa or wardrobe costs far less than a full home of furniture.
• Number of Movers: The rates above include two movers. A bigger or harder move may need three or four, which we confirm in your quote rather than on the day.
• Distance: A local move inside Upper Ferntree Gully is cheaper than an interstate furniture move, which is priced by the cubic metre, from $150 per cubic metre. If you only have a few pieces and your dates are flexible, backloading removalists work out cheaper again, because you share space on a truck already making that trip.
• Access: Stairs, shared lifts, narrow doorways and tight parking all add time and handling.
• Dismantling and Reassembly: Flat-pack wardrobes, bed frames and modular lounges that need taking apart and rebuilding.
• Packing and Protection: Blanket wrap, bubble wrap, padding and crating for fragile or high-value pieces.
• Specialty Items: Pianos, pool tables, spas and bathtubs are priced separately from $350 per hour, because they need different gear and more crew.

Why Hire Our Furniture Removalists In Upper Ferntree Gully?

Furniture is the part of a move most likely to get damaged, and the part most likely to damage your house on the way out. Our furniture removals company has been doing this since 2018, and the price you are quoted is the price you pay.

Licensed And Registered Movers

We are a licensed and registered moving company in Australia (ABN 98 683 754 001), trading since 2018. Our trained furniture relocation team follow the same handling steps on every job, so your furniture is packed, loaded and transported with care by a business you can look up.

Blanket Wrap, Padding And Strapping

Every item is blanket-wrapped and padded before it leaves the room, and the load is strapped down so nothing shifts on the drive. Corners, upholstery and polished timber get covered, and so do your doorframes, because that is where a lot of moving damage actually happens.

Tail Lift On Every Truck

We run 3-tonne through to 10-tonne trucks, and every one carries a hydraulic tail lift. A heavy lounge or a full wardrobe is lifted onto the deck rather than dragged up a ramp, which is safer for the furniture and for the crew.

A Clear Price Before You Book

You get the hourly rate, the truck size and the crew size in writing before anything is booked. No call-out fee, no fuel levy, nothing added at the end of the day. If your job needs more movers, we say so in the quote.

Service Customisation

Every Upper Ferntree Gully move is different. Hand us the whole job, or book only the heavy pieces and carry the boxes yourself. If a piece is in an awkward spot or an unusual condition, tell us at quote time and we will plan for it.

Storage Between Addresses

If your new place is not ready, our storage services can hold your furniture until it is, short term or long term, so you are not moving the same lounge twice in a fortnight.

What Is Our Process For Furniture Removals In Upper Ferntree Gully?

A Free Quote With No Hidden Charges

Tell us what furniture you are moving and where it is going. You get back a clear hourly rate with the truck size and the crew size named, so nothing appears on the invoice that was not in the quote. Our furniture movers shape the job around your budget, not the other way around.

Check The Furniture And The Access

Before the day, we work out the type, size and number of pieces, what needs dismantling, and how each piece gets out of the building. That decides how many movers turn up and what packing supplies they bring. Sorting this out beforehand is what stops an hourly job from blowing out in your driveway.

One Room At A Time

Our furniture removalists in Upper Ferntree Gully clear one room before starting the next. It sounds obvious, but it is the difference between a truck packed in a sensible order and a jumble that has to come off twice. It also means you can see what is done and what is left.

Wrapping And Packing Every Piece

Fragile and high-value pieces are kept separate from the rest. Our furniture movers and packers use fresh materials on every job, including bubble wrap, stretch wrap, moving blankets, air pillows and packing peanuts. If you want the whole lot packed for you, our packing services cover it.

Labelling By Room

Cartons get labelled by room, and the screws and fittings from a dismantled bed or wardrobe are bagged and labelled with the piece they belong to. Nobody wants to hunt for wardrobe bolts at ten o'clock at night in a house full of boxes.

Load, Transport And Reassemble

Pieces go up on the tail lift, get placed so the weight sits properly, and are strapped down for the drive. At the other end we unload, unpack and reassemble your furniture where you want it, rather than leaving a wardrobe in pieces in the hallway.

Antiques, Fine Art And Oversized Furniture In Upper Ferntree Gully

Some pieces need more than a blanket and a trolley. Our furniture removalists in Upper Ferntree Gully handle high-value, fragile and oversized items with the right materials and the right method:

• Antiques and Fine Art: Antiques, paintings, mirrors and glass cabinets are wrapped and padded individually rather than stacked, and the most delicate pieces are crated. We do not provide goods-in-transit insurance ourselves. If you would like extra cover, we recommend you arrange your own transit insurance through a third-party provider before moving day.
• Oversized and Heavy Furniture: Modular lounges, large wardrobes, buffets and entertainment units are dismantled where needed and carried with trolleys, straps and proper lifting technique, then lifted onto the truck on the tail lift.
• Tricky Access: We plan around stairs, narrow hallways and shared lifts before the day, so big pieces get out and in without damage to your furniture or your walls.

Moving a few pieces rather than a houseful? Our small removals cover a single item or a part-load. Moving a piano, pool table or spa as well? Those are specialist jobs at $350 per hour, handled by our piano movers and pool table removalists.
